Lt. Lapanna Obituary

Welcome

Welcome to the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council. We are a mutual aid consortium comprised of resources from the police departments of 30 cities and towns. We respond when requested by a chief of police to assist with search and rescue, special events, or major crimes. We also draw on some of the most talented police officers in the region to form the SEMLEC SWAT Team, which deploys when needed to save lives and protect the citizens of southeastern Massachusetts.

About SEMLEC

We are a mutual aid consortium comprised of resources from the police departments of 30 cities and towns. A law enforcement council is collaborative partnership of police agencies in a region that share knowledge, resources and personnel for the benefit of public safety. Each member commits a portion of resources from its agency to SEMLEC, and those resources are made available to member police departments to increase and improve their capabilities and capacities.

Units

SEMLEC is comprised of units, which can be activated by a member police department when needed for emergencies, special events, ceremonies, missing persons, or other events where they are needed.

Public Record Request

SEMLEC is responsive to public records requests filed in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws.
