Rehoboth Police Chief James Trombetta has served with the Police Department for 33 years. Chief Trombetta, a US Air Force veteran, rose through the ranks of the Department and was placed in charge as Acting Chief of Police in May 2011. Trombetta was appointed to the permanent Police Chief’s position in July of 2015. Chief Trombetta has two Officers that are members of the SEMLEC SWAT team and four Officers that are members of the SEMLEC Search & Rescue Team.
