Chief Flaherty has been with the West Bridgewater Police Department since April 1988. He served in the Detective Division for the majority of his tenure as a police officer. He has promoted through the ranks from Officer to Sergeant in 2001, Sergeant to Lieutenant in 2010, and to Chief of Police in 2016. Chief Flaherty graduated in 2003 from Western New England College with a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement. Chief Flaherty served on the WEB Major Crimes Task Force from 1997-2008 and served as the commander from 2008-2010.
